No! Screw it, I’m talking about it now. The game-changing final page secret: Komurasaki is Hiyori, Momonosuke’s missing little sister.
I’m mean, who the hell else could it be? Toko? Tama? Kin’emon’s wife? Komurasaki was the only candidate. No red herrings. No way the character couldn’t be someone of importance. This wasn’t worth a final page reveal. And, why did she drop that secret on Zoro? Okay, he saved her life. That’s great, but if someone pulled me away if I collapsed in the middle of the street I’m not giving them my credit card number. It was so hamfisted. Oda, you’re better than that. Did you want to go to the movies and just rushed this chapter out? It’s okay, you can tell me. Call me.
No Luffy or Big Mom this chapter. Zoro was badly hurt but he’s getting bandaged up and Y’all know bandages in One Piece heal everything. He’s even getting a snake oil treatment, although, I’m wondering if it’s the same stuff Ussop sold. If that’s the case, it’s probably worthless. And, what’s with Toko stealing it? Where did that come from? She’s a thieving comedian now? Terrible. Papa Carlos Mencia taught her better than that. Oh, and Gyukimaru just left when Zoro passed out. Okay, why? He was all gung-ho about killing him and then just walks away? Maybe that’ll be explained later. Or, maybe he just had to go to the bathroom. Moving on.
The rest of the Alliance is reacting to a traitor in their ranks. Doubt it’s Bepo or Kyoshiro. Something else is going on here. And, what did Zoro’s friend with the beard want? I’m not looking up his name. I don’t care enough. But, I will say we still don’t know his main purpose in the story. We’ll probably get more info on him before the Wano flashback. Could he be the traitor? Maybe, but I think there’s a lot more to the character than that. He’s gonna be like Old Man Hyo, maybe to a lesser degree, but he’s nevertheless will be important to the story.
Law wants to save Bepo and friends. Love his wanting to save his crew and sticking up for them. I also like Shinobu being upset at their plan falling apart. Would’ve been nice if she wasn’t the only Wano Alliance member freaking out. I hate to crap on Oda, but his track record with women is up and down, so I can’t help wondering if he went the “hysterical woman” route with Shinobu. Anyone else I wouldn’t give it a second thought, but it Oda, Y’all. Gotta call it like I see it with him.
And, that’s the chapter. The assassin is done. The plan is in ruins (even if it’s moot because Old Man Hyo will unite the citizens against Orochi). And, One Piece is on break next week. Fine. I already know what’s happening next chapter. Oda’s gonna drop another info bomb:
