Fire & Shade: A Todoroki Dinner (My Hero Academia 192)

First Shoto, now Endeavor. Eye healing surgery in MHA world is amazing!

I don’t think you need these many heroes protecting Dorothy on the yellow brick road.

What’s there to say that hasn’t already been said? Endeavor’s a hero, but he still sucks as a parent. Should the Todoroki siblings forgive him (Yes. No. Yes, but don’t tell him. Hmm…)? Should Rei forgive him (Yes, to that. Only because forgiveness allows her to move on. BUT, that doesn’t mean everything’s okay and she can’t get a divorce.)? Yeesh, human nature is quite the complex mishmash, huh? Who’s to say what’s correct? Do I see them all chumming by the end of the series? SHOULD they be like that by the end of the series? There’s no easy answer. Redemption is an ongoing process—if you’re able to even start it. There’re no set of instructions. Plus it depends on what the person did, for how long, why and many, many other factors. It’s a personal process for both the guilty and the victim.

Maybe that’s why some MHA fans attacked Hirokoshi a few chapters ago. Everyone’s been wronged at some point and everyone has dealt with it (or not) in their own way. Maybe those who verbally attacked Hirokoshi had some old or recent wound opened and lashed out. I don’t know. What I do know is that it’s wrong sending death threats to Hirokoshi.

Not what I meant when I said pass the salt

It’s kinda funny. People will accept manga female characters treated as walking trophies and damsels in distress, or a cool looking character with a badass superpower, even if he murdered or tortured innocents in the past and not bat an eye. People will post how they cried during a movie or TV show over a fictional character but ignore the injustice happening outside their door. Human nature, folks. I don’t get, but I have a couple theories. You see—

Oh, yeah, I should talk about Deku.
We’re getting a One For All/All For One flashback! We’re even showed more previous users! At bit…okay, very out of place for this chapter, but I guess we had to end on a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what happens.

Yeah, I already know, but I tried to end on a cliffhanger too. Oh, well.

See you next time— Huh? Who’s that over there? No. NO! It can’t be YOU!
*dun dun duuuuun!*
